Cleans and sterilizes equipment as appropriate; returns equipment to proper storage areas. Maintains adequate inventory of equipment and medical and office supplies, reordering as necessary. Accompany physician into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc., as dictated by the physician Document any procedures performed by the physician, dictated by the physician. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience, and helpfulness. All responses should be timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations.
