The APP provides post-procedural recovery care for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures through the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. The unit supports patients' recovery from diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, structural heart interventions, and transesophageal echocardiogram requiring monitored recovery. The combined recovery areas include 17 monitored beds (11 CROU and 6 PACU) and care for approximately 8,000 cath and ep procedures annually. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient. Schedule: M-F, days (possible 4x10s - TBD); no nights/weekends/holidays/on-call Essential Functions : Demonstrates clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities which may include diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems. Emergency Medicine Part Time Advanced Practice Provider Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL The Emergency Department at Rush University Medical Center is currently recruiting for a part time Advanced Practice Provider to join their team. This role will function on a rotating shift schedule including nights and weekends along side a team of 44 attending physicians, 36 residents, 4 fellows and 10 APPs. Previous Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.
