Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with proper handling and transport procedures. Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications, immunizations, and treatments and promptly report concerns to the provider. Support preventive health and wellness initiatives, including immunization review and patient education. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and emergency preparedness materials in accordance with safety and infection control standards. Support efficient patient flow and front- and back-office operations, including discharge, phone calls, scheduling, and referrals. Participate in quality improvement, productivity, compliance, and documentation initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations.
