Job description Overnight Weekend Supervisor LPN/RN Part time Position at Atlas Healthcare at Daughters of Miriam Purpose of Your Job Position: The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs and other nursing personnel. To monitor the performance of CNAs, nursing and non-licensed personnel, provide education and counseling, perform disciplinary action as necessary, and complete performance evaluations. Overnight Weekend Supervisor LPN/RN Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative Functions Direct the day-to-day functions of the CNAs or other nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care Center. Ensure that all assigned nursing personnel including CNAs comply with the written policies and procedures established by this Center. Periodically review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc. Make recommendations for revisions. Provide discipline and evaluations of assigned CNAs and other nursing personnel in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Center. Issue verbal and written disciplinary warnings to assigned CNAs and other nursing personnel for violations of current rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Center. Meet with your assigned nursing personnel, including CNAs, as well as support personnel, in planning the shifts’ services, programs, and activities. Ensure that the Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and reflects the day-to-day nursing procedures performed in this Center. Ensure that all nursing service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Service Procedures Manual. Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift, as required. Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained. Ensure that all nursing service personnel are in compliance with their respective job descriptions. Participate in the maintenance and implementation of the Center’s quality assurance program for the nursing service department. Participate in Center surveys or inspections made by authorized government agencies, as may be requested. Periodically review the resident’s written discharge plan. Participate in the updating of the resident’s written discharge plan, as required. Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan, as necessary. Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies, as required. Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, as required. Complete accident/incident reports, as necessary. Provide information to the Billing Office as necessary to insure accurate resident billing. Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary. Job Responsibilities: Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations Greet and register patients as they arrive Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake Prepare patients for X-rays Perform and document routine labs, such as throat and urine cultures (venipuncture experience preferred) Irrigate and assist with wounds Assist in performing quality control testing in the lab Be an integral part of the patient care team and assist with patient care within the scope of practice Keep exam rooms and front reception stocked with adequate supplies Maintain order and cleanliness of the waiting room area Practice standard safety practices and precautions Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies and notifying medical team (nurse, urgent care tech, and physician) Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes to management team Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Assistant patients with complaints and taking an active role in service recovery when needed Perform other duties as needed including apply splints and assisting the nurse and/or provider in other medical procedures Provide exceptional customer services #LI-MO1 Qualifications High school diploma or GED Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor Strong communications and organizational skills Prior pediatric experience Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite Willing to learn medical software Experience with medical records preferred Compensation: $18 - $26/hour The salary/rate range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary/rate for this role.
