Performs post mortem care. Performs safety observations for patients on continuous observation or in restraints, per policy and as directed. Reports any changes observed in the patient?s condition to the RN. Responds to and meets patient/family needs and customer concerns as soon as possible with compassion and understanding. Established effective, caring relationships with staff, patients, family and other members of the health care team. Maintains competence through in-service and educational programs. Attends staff meetings and reviews/signs minutes of meetings not attended. Maintains a safe and uncluttered environment of care in patient rooms including removing excessive furniture, supplies and equipment. Job Title : School Nurse Schedule : Monday - Friday : School Hours (with potential for bus rides or after school needs ) Compensation : LPN : $38/hour RN : $48/ hou r Weekly pay - direct deposit Position Overview : We are currently hiring nurses to provide 1:1 care for a student in a school setting. Nurses will provide one-on-one care in a school setting. Must be comfortable caring for patients with G-tubes and PEG tubes, as well as providing ventilator and tracheostomy care . Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring the patient’s condition, documenting care, and communicating changes to the care team and family. You will work closely with school staff, families, and our clinical team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care and support each student’s health and well-being. Qualifications : LPN/ RN License issued by NYS Current CPR/BLS Certification issued by AHA Pediatric or School Nursing experience Required Ability to work independently in a school setting Communicate with families , school staff , and healthcare providers Responsibilities: Perform patient care duties and treatments as per care plan.
