The Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship at UTHealth Heart & Vascular is a 12‑month, full‑time postgraduate training program designed to prepare new graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for advanced clinical practice in cardiovascular medicine. This intensive fellowship accelerates the transition from graduate training to high-level, independent practice within a high‑ acuity, specialized cardiovascular environment. Fellows receive structured, competency‑ based training aligned with American College of Cardiology (ACC) cardiovascular team competencies, while gaining comprehensive ‑hands-on‑ experience across the full continuum of cardiovascular care.
