Responsibilities The Cardiac Cath Lab/Angio IR Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high quality direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations during procedural cases in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Angio/IR Suites at St. Francis Medical Center. Assists with the maintenance of equipment; procedure room readiness including equipment and supplies. Provides Moderate Sedation as ordered by the physician. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cath Lab/Angio/Interventional Radiology suite and/or Holding area so the team functions efficiently and effectively. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Angio/IR Suite, and/or Special Studies (which includes CT and Ultrasound procedures). Monitors and records patient condition continuously while in the Angio/Interventional Radiology/Cardiovascular lab and Special Studies. Willingness to learn and pursue new procedures related to specialty, while maintaining adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
