In this role, you will provide initial patient triage, registration, and intake services, assist with direct patient care, and perform routine clinical procedures in accordance with established protocols. You will also provide clerical support and help coordinate patient flow, ensuring our department operates efficiently and patients receive a smooth, positive experience throughout their visit. Radiology Tech Assistant Key Responsibilities: Assist radiologic technologists, nuclear medicine technologists, sonographers, and Mammographer in preparing and positioning patients for imaging procedures. Rotates throughout the diagnostic imaging department to facilitate and help assure high-quality imaging services to patients. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging processes. Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations. Completes all necessary forms, requisitions, and communications required to implement orders. Schedules and monitors patient appointments; may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities. Performs routine specialized procedures, which could include sterile dressing changes under established protocols. Assists with orientation of other clerical personnel to the department. Transports patients to and from diagnostic imaging department. Prepares room, equipment, and needed supplies for diagnostic imaging procedure. Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established parameters. Maintains stocks of medicines and medical supplies as necessary. Radiology Tech Assistant Experience and Education Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Current CPR training required. Successful completion of CMA or CNA Program preferred. Completion of a Medical Terminology course preferred. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required for LPN. Current LPN license in Connecticut required for LPN. Experience: One to three years’ experience in clinical position preferred. One to three years’ experience as a nursing or medical assistant or in a related field preferred. Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred. Prior computer experience required. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must be proficient in Reasoning, Math, Reading, Writing, and Speaking: Speak clearly and distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation, variations in word order, using present, perfect and future tenses. Ability to plan, organize, direct and control the flow of communication and tasks within the job duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision and with time limitations. Ability to perform detailed assignments, work accurately, follow directions and assess priorities. Good physical and mental health, able to assist with heavy lifting and capable of working under pressure. Ability to learn procedures and techniques involved in administrating basic patient care. Job Summary Ambulatory MGBCI Waltham - Solid tumor APP Outpatient only- Full time, 40 hours, 4-10-hr shifts- M-F only With an interdisciplinary team approach, the NP or PA will promote a collaborative relationship between all providers, professional nurses and administrative staff, to ensure continuity of patient care. Focus is primarily on the care of breast medical oncology patients in our ambulatory clinic at MGH Waltham though cross coverage across solid tumor malignanies may be anticipated. In addition to providing direct and indirect patient care, the medical oncology APP serves as a role model for professional advanced practice and participates in the professional development of the team through teaching, committee involvement or quality and safety initiatives. The medical oncology APP will provide thorough, compassionate, culturally sensitive clinical care and should demonstrate operational flexibility and strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills in order to work effectively with other members of the team. The NP/PA is responsible for: • Performs and records the patient history and physical examination and discusses findings with the collaborating team. Obtaining and coordinating laboratory results, charting of clinical findings in the EMR, orders, nursing instructions, and other required elements. • Utilizes advanced practice knowledge to identify, prevent or solve complex and/or recurring breast oncology patient care problems. • Follows and manages patients (in collaboration with MD) enhancing continuity of care. • Performs (oversees/assures completion of) specialized procedures particular to the select medical oncology population mutually agreed upon with collaborating physician. • Collaborates with staff and physicians to facilitate a comprehensive plan of care and coordinate resources and write appropriate orders improving access to care, establishing goals for the delivery of care to patients, participating in clinical research, and managing communications between physicians, patients, family, and staff. • Appreciates complex medication interactions. • Ensuring appropriate diagnostic procedures occur in a timely matter through careful coordination with other services such as radiology, facilitating various clinic appointments, communicating with patients regarding test results, and providing coverage for the team. • Educating patients regarding a variety of medical oncology issues associated with local or systemic therapy. • Indications and interpretation of radiology, pathology, and laboratory results. • Understands the complex medical environments of cancer patients including, but not limited to, those with advanced malignancy or organ dysfunction. • Writes orders which are in accord with current guidelines including antineoplastics. • Maintains and practices in accord with practice guidelines per state and hospital regulations. Provides consultation to both nurses and physicians and serves as a resource to staff in area(s) of expertise. • Serves on appropriate intra- and inter-departmental committees Collaborates with staff and other health care professionals to meet staff and patient educational needs. • Participates in the development of formal and informal educational programs for nursing and support staff. Monitors patient outcomes in accordance with defined standards of patient care. • Identifies system-wide factors contributing to undesirable outcomes, such as complications and over utilization of services. Supports and conducts research efforts to advance knowledge and to promote research-based practice. • Evaluates own practice and program effectiveness. • Identifies pertinent patient care and health delivery problems for investigation. • Evaluates current research findings for clinical specialty and determines applicability to practice. • Assists nursing and medical colleagues in research efforts. • Encouraged to conduct research. Training will be provided. 2+ years advanced practice and medical oncology experience is preferred. Prior oncology RN experience is preferred for NP applicants. Proficiency with Epic and EMRs preferred. EPIC In-basket management, telemedicine experience preferred. Familiarity with clinical trials preferred. -Demonstrated competence in specialized area. -Ability to effectively communicate clinical information, care plans, etc. to medical and lay audiences; able to educate patients and their families regarding routine and complex medical information. -Skilled in creating appropriate documentation and use of electronic medical records to consistently provide high quality and timely documentation including progress notes, sign-off notes, and discharge planning. -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team; can effectively influence and lead as necessary. -Effectively uses analytical skills and problem-solving techniques in both clinical and operational matters. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. Minimum of two years’ of up to date and progressively responsible nursing experience in Employee Health, Occupational Health, Infection Control or related field. 2. Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is looking for per diem LPNs on all shifts! Weekly pay ranges from $35 to $40 an hour, depending on the shift. Evenings, overnights, and weekends have shift differentials. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your job position is to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN to residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Experience & Education: Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program. Must be CPR certified. Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state. New graduates welcome! Duties & Responsibilities: Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident. Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care. Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately. Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness. Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes. Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs. Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list. Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary. Administer medication according to procedure. Maintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which he/she is responsible. Specific Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
