This state-of-the-art facility provides comprehensive multispecialty care for adults, including urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery, gynecology, gastroenterology, ENT, transplant, neurology, and other services. We also offer specialized care for children and adolescents, including on-site services in gynecology, gastroenterology, neurology, dermatology, and cardiology A Registered Nurse , UCM Care Network, is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation by following established standards, protocols and practices. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians. This position will be located in a community-based physician practice. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: BSN of an NLN accredited nursing program highly preferred; graduate of a NLN nursing program required. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois. CPR certification. Summary The Organ Recovery Center Specialty Nurse provides nursing care to deceased organ donors and patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Organ Recovery Center Specialty Nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. In the event that the Donor Care Center has a low daily census, the Organ Recovery RN 2 will be assigned to a limited number of pre-transplant related tasks which could include pre transplant tasks such as regulatory paperwork for transplant patients. This position will only float within the Transplant Service Line. Other Information Required Job Qualifications: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required. Maintain current BLS certification. Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher (except RN1s hired and already working at Rush University Medical Center before October, 2012). All transfers from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to transfer into Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group.
