As a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner , you’ll provide high-quality primary and preventive care to client employees at our primary care health clinic on Greenwich Street in New York, NY, directly across from Piers 25 and 26 . This is an opportunity to support a premier client in a highly personalized, patient-focused healthcare environment , with an emphasis on exceptional clinical care. Strong clinical skills, women’s health experience, and the ability to respond confidently in emergency situations are important for this role. The position offers a consistent 24-hour-per-week schedule, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM , providing a predictable part-time schedule. What You’ll Do Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration) Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required) Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required) Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. Job Responsibility Manages and leads team members, operations and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift. Collaborates with team members and nursing management in the development of methods, techniques and analytical approach to patient care. Communicates, builds consensus, and guides team members toward achieving department objectives. Promotes and maintains high quality patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Creates a professional work environment that encourages team member respect, engagement, accountability and optimal patient outcomes. Promotes appreciative inquiry and evidence-based, ethical and compassionate practice. Provides direction and guidance to patient care unit team members during assigned shift. May conduct performance reviews and provide input into hiring, promotions and corrective actions. Serves as a role model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational and leadership). Educates team members in new and existing department procedures and systems (information systems, fiscal responsibility, etc.). Provides input on department budget allocations to nursing management. Ensures adherence to the established care delivery model, using knowledge of scope and standards of practice. Demonstrates core clinical competencies for patient population of oversight in order to supervise and provide direct patient care.
