Highlights Join a collegial team of five (5) physicians in a new role to provide additional support in the inpatient setting. This is a full time position with a Monday-Friday schedule. Cover one facility, Skagit Valley Hospital, located in Mount Vernon. Provider would help support a dynamic inpatient patient population with a variety of complex gastroenterological conditions and be responsible for helping with daytime phone calls for our inpatient program. No evening or weekend call required. This is a hospital-employed position with access to a large, existing in house primary and specialty care referral base. Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization! Qualifications Master s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program. 2-4 years of experience is required. Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before start. Must have active BLS certification before starting or within first week of employment. As an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care. Responsible for providing safe, family centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient's family, significant others, and members of the health care team. May be required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code. Assists in meeting Seattle Children's strategic goals by incorporating the initiatives to support the strategic plans into the daily work, i.e., Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI), Value Based Behaviors, Error Prevention, Patient Safety, Workforce Community and Connection, etc. Required Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
