Education RN Diploma, ASN required. BSN preferred. Licensures/Certifications PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact. Position Requirements: Active Delaware RN or LPN license required Willingness to obtain Infection Preventionist certification (training supported) Familiarity with PCC preferred, with ability to learn and independently manage infection control software Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead change and promote infection prevention practices Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage infection prevention policies and programs Conduct epidemiological tracking, outbreak investigation, and regulatory analysis Lead and/or participate in committees and performance improvement initiatives Oversee Employee Health (infections, immunizations, prophylaxis) Collaborate with Staff Development to provide education, in-services, and training Participate in environmental rounds and regulatory survey readiness Maintain DelVax entries and ensure timely daily/weekly reporting Monitor new admissions and current residents for proper immunization documentation (PPD, Flu, Pneumonia) Coordinate and administer flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics for residents and staff Manage antibiotic stewardship and related documentation Conduct NHSN reporting and infection tracking (line listings, contact tracing, documentation) Communicate with epidemiologists regarding reportable infections Ensure proper PPE protocols, isolation procedures, and staff education Stay current with CDC guidance and evolving infection control standards Additional Expectations: Participate in Clinical Weekend Rotation Previous wound care/skin experience preferred but not required Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Commitment to high-quality resident care and safety Benefits for the Position: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Paid Time Off Vision Insurance 401K We are looking for a motivated professional who wants to grow within a facility that values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
