Responsibilities to include: Nurse Practitioner: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic wounds under the supervision of the outpatient wound care clinic physicians in a clinic or facility setting. Focus on health promotion and disease prevention. Provides clinical services and develops and implements plan of care in conjunction with collaborating physicians. May order and interpret diagnostic test such as lab work and imaging. May prescribe medication within scope of practice. Physician Assistant: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic wounds as a part of a healthcare team both in an office and facility setting under the supervision of the outpatient wound care clinic physicians. Care planning, follow-up visits, updating treatment plan including medication, ordering and interpreting lab, imaging and other diagnostic testing in the medical record as appropriate and within scope of care. May prescribe medication within scope of practice. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Physician’s Assistant Program Current Louisiana State APRN or PA Licensure Current ACLS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Strong computer skills Eligible for limited prescriptive authority in Louisiana as approved by St Tammany Health System. Good organizational skills. Ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain continuing medical education per licensure and clinic protocols. Must have a valid and current state issued driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation for work with current safety inspection (brake tag) and vehicle license plate registration. Must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at his/her own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence. Informs the physician/wound clinics of changes in client needs, wounds that require change to the plan of care for wound care treatments and disease management • Follows trends in specialty area of wounds for home care industry; makes recommendations of treatment options for incorporation into the program. • Participates in reviewing regional wound program performance metrics to ensure program is achieving desired clinical and operational performance measures with Regional Director and Manger of Specialty Services. • Participates in training, coaching of staff and onboarding to the Wound program • Participates and facilitates professional development needs and competency for wound program. In addition, the position involves other duties such as: Will actively participate in the performance improvement process known as H3W. Participates in clinical education area to provide programs aimed to improve clinical competencies of direct service staff. Researches new information related to wound specialty and communicates to team. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required. WOCN certification required. MSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of two years nursing experience in clinical specialty area required. Minimum two years in homecare preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration: RN required. Obtain Wound/Ostomy certification within 6 months of hire required. Language Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Clinincal Value Analysis Specialist-40hr-Days (*MUST have CT RN License)

The Value Analysis Specialist is responsible for the Product Evaluation/Value Analysis Program (PEVA) through collaboration with Executive Leadership, Supply Chain Leadership, Medical Staff, Clinical Staff, and Vendors. Implements organization-wide strategy/direction to reduce expenses and improve clinical outcomes and quality. Responsible for working with Supply Chain administration to review and optimize current contract portfolio, develop and execute product standardization throughout the organization, facilitate "roll-out" of new products/conversions by working with clinical partners, and successfully execute the supply cost management and Supply Chain operation plan. Drives clinical cost reduction and better patient outcomes as the Clinical Champion of Connecticut Children's Value Analysis Program. Organizes and manages all Value Analysis Committees at CT Children's. Assesses relevant financial, clinical, operational, and evidence-based literature and appropriately assists in selecting, evaluating, monitoring, analyzing, and implementing cost-effective products, services, and processes. Serves as an information resource by providing data/information related to Value Analysis by investigating new or alternative products/services based on observations, product issues, high costs, requests from user groups, suppliers, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) peer groups, or as assigned by Supply Chain Administration. Coordinates clinical evaluation trial activity with clinical partners. Completes Evidence-Based research by reviewing and analyzing appropriate sources of product and vendor information. Ensures criteria for measurement of clinical efficacy and outcomes have been established for each evaluation. Responsible for taking decisions from Value Analysis Committee(s) and facilitating the official "Roll-Out" of those decisions (new products, product conversions, standardization actions, etc.). Ensures projects are driven to completion. Tracks all decisions and cost savings/spend associated with decisions with a tracking tool. Maintains Policies and Procedures related to Product Evaluation/Value Analysis (PEVA). Keeps current on technology, regulatory, and operational trends in the health care industry, which may impact product utilization. Helps to identify appropriate product substitutions when needed (shortages, etc.). Other duties as assigned.
