The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. This position performs duties associated with direct patient care and quality assurance activities. Assures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, instructs patients concerning procedures, treatments and needs, and ensures medical orders are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. This position performs duties associated with symptom management, and direct in clinic patient care and/or telehealth patient care and quality improvement activities. The nurse adheres to the ANA scope and Standards of professional nursing and the code of ethics for nurses with interpretive statements. This team member will float to the Indy Metro Adult infusion centers and provide care to a variety of patient populations including: benign and malignant hematology, malignant solid tumors, gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatology, neurology, pulmonary, allergy and immunology. Infusion nurses would be responsible for the care coordination and administration of therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other supportive medications.
