The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and within the scope of practice established by California law, organizational policies, and delegated clinical responsibilities. The Wellness Visit Medical Assistant (WVMA), under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, supports the first phase of a two-part Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV). Following successful onsite training and competency validation, the position transitions to a primarily remote role conducting the initial visit via telehealth.
