Administers medications, performs treatment as ordered , and operates equipment according to policy and procedure. 3. Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs, and administers vaccinations. 4. Participates i n implementation and evaluation of care plan including long and short-term goals, nursing actions , and teaching. 5. Documents patient care according to standard procedure. Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and/or R N and assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. Completion of an accredited practical nursing program . 2. Current Massachusetts licensure required . 3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Knowledge of basic nursing procedures . 2. Strong interpersonal skills are required to gather information from individuals, build relationships that support collaborative work within the department and across the organization and provide exceptional service to patients.
