The CCU RN works independently with minimal supervision and collaborates with physicians and other disciplines to ensure quality patient care. Once experienced in the CCU, the RN has the ability to become relief charge nurse, care for CVVHD, IABP, and be a member of the open heart recovery team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Provides direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner. 2. Takes and records measurements or readings. 3. Assesses condition and provides treatment for care of patient. 4. Administers prescribed medications. 5. Provides leadership while working collaboratively with other care givers on the unit. 6.
