Purpose of Position: Under the direction of the supervising provider to provide the highest standards of support to the MACC practice. Purpose of Position: Assists in a variety of surgical procedures/operations under the direct supervision of the surgeon and registered nurse. Description Demonstrates a good technical knowledge of the surgical environment, principles of infection control and sterility and uses this knowledge in assisting the Registered Nurse and Surgeon to provide a safe surgical environment which supports quality patient care. Prepares the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes and sterile solutions.
