Position Summary Provides quality patient care to the medical/surgical and pediatric patients under the direction of a registered nurse. Reports complaints of pain to appropriate medical personnel. Makes beds and changes bed linens. Assists patients in preparing for rehabilitation activities and appointments as instructed. Assists with the application of slings, elastic stockings, etc. as instructed. Keeps the patients’ call system within easy reach of the patient and answers calls promptly. Observes for and reports the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to the responsible nurse. Assists with post-mortem care as instructed. Demonstrates technical aptitude.
