Provide oral and/or written patient education on treatment plans, pre/post-surgery, medications, and self-care practices. Keep patient documentation and records in the EMR system accurate and up to date. Coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments, surgeries, and outpatient tests. Patient Communication: Respond promptly to patient inquiries and gather information to assess their condition. Consult with providers regarding patient care needs. Document all patient communication in EMR Ensure that providers have reviewed and signed all reports. Oversee clinic flow and prepare equipment, exam rooms, and charts for upcoming patient visits. Ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment and supplies. Follow infection-control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment. Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines, such as HIPAA, OSHA and Joint Commission. Assist with the orientation and training of new team members as needed. Assist with monitoring medical supply inventory. Cleaning and Disinfection to include the use of sterilization equipment, as well as keeping accurate records to comply with external regulations by following policies and procedures.
