In collaboration and consultation with the supervising physician, the PCCM APP contributes to excellence in patient care. As an advanced practice provider, the PCCM APP is additionally involved in education, consultation, research and leadership throughout the Duke Health System, organization and profession. Job Eligibility Requirements Education NP: Graduate of accredited MSN or DNP Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. PA: Graduate of ARC accredited Physician Assistant Program, Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree preferred. Certification NP: PNP-AC or PNP-AC/PC. FNPs and PNP-PCs are not being considered for this position. PA: PA-C Licensure NP: Current unrestricted RN license issued by or recognized by the NCBON with authorization to practice as an NP. They will often manage patients on vasoactive support, mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and ECMO or Ventricular Assist Devices. Patient population varies from neonates to adults with congenital heart disease that require repeat intervention. The hours for this position will include three thirteen hours shifts including rotating days/nights/weekends and holidays. Call will also be required.
