Clinical Responsibilities Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Cardiac Surgeons and an in-house night Intensivist. Deliver comprehensive care to cardiovascular ICU patients, supporting the post-surgical and critical care continuum. Qualifications APRN candidates must hold Acute Care Certification to be considered. Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Cardiovascular ICU is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. Summary : The Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Unity and UMMC provides expert clinical care for critically ill patients. The NP will work in collaboration with ICU physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care.
