As a part of the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases & Nutrition, Section of Gastroenterology, this role will function Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays, and no call. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for the comprehensive management of critically ill adult patients in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members. The APP provides evidence-based critical care to patients with complex surgical, trauma, transplant, and emergency general surgery conditions.
