Protocols shall include provisions for case management including diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate recordkeeping by the Nurse Practitioner; and may include such other provisions as are determined by the Nurse Practitioner and collaborating physician to be appropriate. These protocols will be determined by area of specialty. 3. Practice Agreements Practice agreements shall include provisions for the following: a. Patient Assignment Patients are assigned to the Nurse Practitioner or physician according to the needs of the patient. b. Diagnostic Tests Laboratory tests may be ordered according to the initial work-up guidelines found in the reference protocol. Collaboration is not necessary for routine diagnostic procedures. However, consultation and documentation should be completed before more extensive tests are ordered, e.g., nuclear medicine tests, MRI, CT scan, IVP, etc. c. Consultation Nurse Practitioners consult with and refer patients to subspecialty clinics as needed. d. Advanced Practice Nurse HOPE Temporary Per Diem

**Per Diem | Bergen County, NJ | 10 minutes from NYC** We are seeking a Hematology/Breast Oncology APN to join our multidisciplinary Hematology Oncology Physicians of Englewood (HOPE) in New Jersey. This role supports comprehensive care across the continuum—from high‑risk assessment and diagnostic workup to treatment, survivorship, and long‑term follow‑up. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise, patient‑centered communication, and a commitment to evidence‑based oncology practice. **About the Opportunity** The team includes 8 providers, 8 APNs, and 52 ancillary staff. You will provide dedicated support across 3 oncology floors within the hospital. Flexible hours - 1-2 days a week. 3/6/8 hours in a day. **What your day will look like** Determines and prioritizes patient care needs. Diagnoses are determined and prioritized from the assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning. Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory. Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will order and interpret any tests necessary to the medical evaluation. Examples include CBC, serum chemistry, tumor markers, chest x-ray, cat scans, nuclear scans, MRI, venous Doppler studies, EKG and Echo at appropriate oncology disease specific treatment interval as defined by NCCN guidelines. Select and performs tests and therapeutic procedures for the patient as necessary, adhering to scope of practice guidelines and program area's curriculum. Prescribe Drugs: The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will prescribe drugs as necessary as appropriate for the Hematology/Oncology office in accordance with state and federal law. Provide preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of episodic, short-term and stable chronic hematologic/oncologic problems. Identifies educational needs of patients and families and collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary patient care team to develop programs and materials for team members, patient/family and the community. Complete patient care milestones and education such as Chemo talks, Survivorship and Geriatric Assessment as defined by disease specific NCCN guidelines. **Qualifications** **Advanced Practice Nurse** Master's Degree in Nursing required Master's or Doctorage degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current New Jersey Professional Nurse License Current Nurse Practitioner License - Board Certification required ONS Chemo/Bio Certification within 3 months of hire required 1-2 year's recent clinical experience in area of expertise preferred; could be 1-2 years in women's health or familiar with breast oncology patients Previous leadership/teaching experience preferred DEA and NJ CDS registration Current BLS and ACLS certification **Why Join Us** Top-ranked \#2 Hospital in New Jersey \#1 in Bergen County for Quality, Safety & Patient Experience Just 10 minutes from New York City Access to world-class dining, culture, entertainment and recreation Englewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The rate shown reflects the flat hourly rate for this position; this position is not benefit eligible. Per Diem rate: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
