Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner working with military families at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in California. Position Highlights: Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holiday and weekends, between the hours of 0700 and 1530 hours. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break, respectively. In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services in excess of 80 hours per two-week period. Will work in San Diego area at one of sever potential locations (not in a rotation, but it might be at a Branch Clinic outside of the Balboa Hospital proper) Must be skilled in general outpatient psychiatry, including diagnostic evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and psychotherapy. Performs psychiatric intakes, evaluations, and prescribes medications. 5.1.19.1.3. Will serve as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary mental Behavioral Health. May be involved in medical student and psychiatry resident education. May provide clinical supervision to other health care professionals and trainees, such as psychology interns. Position Requirements: Master's degree in nursing. Possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Psychiatric- Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner in the last five (5) years. Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
