Location: Moody Outpatient Center 3rd Floor Work Schedule - Monday - Friday Shift - 8 am to 5 pm (Days) Full Time PRIMARY PURPOSE The RN is a licensed professional who uses the Parkland nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery, that focuses on a particular patient population(s)/specific health conditions, by the health care team. The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff. Position Details: Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an approved school of nursing Experience: 2 years related experience Licensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire is required. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing Experience: 3 years in an oncology setting is preferred. Formal patient education and community educational presentations Support group facilitation Certification(s): Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification Physical Requirements: • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
