Role Summary The Staff Nurse, RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of surgical patients. Responsibilities include establishing care priorities, developing and executing perioperative nursing plans, providing patient and family education, supporting discharge planning, documenting care and patient progress, and collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality surgical outcomes. Through both circulating and scrub experiences, nurses play an integral role in procedural efficiency, sterile technique, and intraoperative patient advocacy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
