Job Description The Adult Infusion Centers at Mt. Zion, Parnassus and Mission Bay service the Medical Oncology and Hematology, Blood, and Cellular Transplant population at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as any non-oncology infusion needs of patients at UCSF. The treatments include but are not limited to chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The centers collectively consist of over 130 chairs/beds and treatments include research and standard of care infusions. The infusion centers are staffed by Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, and Practice Coordinators. The position requires flexibility to work at all West Bay Outpatient Adult Infusion Centers. Weekend and evening shifts on a as needed basis. The adult infusion Clinical Nurse II delivers direct patient care to an assigned adult infusion outpatient population. This nurse is experienced and highly skilled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the cancer and non cancer disease process, the major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education. The nurse utilizes an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements. The nurse is recognized and utilized as a clinical resource and demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Two (2) or more years of recent RN clinical Oncology Nursing experience. 2 years adult outpatient infusion and 6 months Peds Hematology/Oncology experience. Job Description Under the supervision of the UCSF Department of Surgery & Department of Medicine and guided by the policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and bylaws of the UCSF Medical Center, some Nursing Policies, and, Medical Staff Policies, and any unique to inpatient or ambulatory patient services (for those APPs providing services both in the inpatient and ambulatory environments) this Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is assigned to the Berkeley Cancer Outpatient Practice and Infusion Center. This APP position may perform delegated functions as appropriate to their “scope of practice”. In general, the “scope of practice” includes the management of chronic stable medical conditions, specialty protocols (e.g. chemotherapy), routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures. This position will provide outpatient care in approved age groups at UCSF Health settings. The APP has responsibility for the quality of standards of care for a specified patient population and evidences self-direction and accountability in the development of this role within the all UCSF medical center locations. UCSF Health requires all Advanced Practice Providers (APP) to be credentialed through its Medical Staff Services Office (MSSO) in order to practice and function in their clinical role. Description Per Diem Dispensing Nurse – LPN/LVN ​ ​ BAART Program ​ is looking for a detail oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors . The dispensing nurse also shares responsibility of maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory and reporting patient treatment information . An ideal dispensing nurse candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder Responsibilities: Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols. Use automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump and maintain dispensing equipment Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal and State Regulations Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal regulations Order, receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power of Attorney) Provide daily assessment of patients Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff Other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications: Current & good standing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of California. In CA only, a CA license as a Psychiatric Technician may be substituted for nursing license. Current CPR certification required EMR & computer proficiency desired Experience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, must have a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment. Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Salary Range: Salary ranges from $32.45 to $35 .00 an hour.
