What you'll do The Registered Professional Nurse III, Ambulatory Care is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. Collects and records relevant patient health data accurately and works in collaboration with the care team to contribute to the plan of care. Analyzes assessment data to identify patient problems and utilizes date to continuously meet care coordination needs. Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient. Evaluates patient response to plan of care and works in collaboration with the inter-professional team to make any needed adjustments. Implements and records interventions appropriate to diagnosis or patient problem. Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attainment of identified goals and initiates or participates in patient outcome improvement activities. Adheres to approved, research-based practice standards. Directs and supervises patient care provided by LPNs and support personnel. Performs and documents Point of Care (POC) testing and quality control in accordance with established laboratory policies and procedures. Maintains and documents testing reagents/supplies and equipment according to established laboratory procedures. Acts effectively as a group leader or preceptor when assigned.
