He/She is accountable for the practice of forensic nursing as defined by state and national guidelines, the Ohio Revised Code, and the International Association of Forensic Nursing (IAFN). Responsibilities And Duties: 80% Assessment/Diagnosis: 1. Collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation in systematic and ongoing process: Involves patient and Law Enforcement. 2. Completes a detailed history as given by the patient/victim. 3. Prioritizes data collection activities (including photo documentation and body diagrams) based on patient's immediate condition, or anticipated needs of patient or situation. Completes a head-to-toe assessment looking for life threatening injuries for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment. 4. Uses appropriate evidence-based assessment techniques and instruments to collect, analyze and document initial and ongoing subjective and objective data from patients. 5.
