Responsibilities Complete intake call sheet on all referrals including for inpatient as appropriate for the position. Gather all necessary demographic, clinical and financial information on call sheet. Ensure information is accurate and complete as call sheet is transmitted to hospital clinical and business office staff. Requests evaluation from ESP/ED/Referrer as appropriate. Assist Intake Coordinators when requested in interpretation of lab values, and diagnostic testing within Pembroke guidelines in order to facilitate appropriate referrals to facilities. Reviews for first call acceptance of appropriate patients based on Pembroke protocols. Notify the units of pending admissions. Send completed call sheets and insurance verification/authorization to Hospital Unit, Utilization Review and Business office. Maintain accurate, up-to-date bed availability including update hospital staff of pending admissions or cancellations. Update external bedboard on regular basis.
