Organization: 10N Acute Care Surgery 10 Job Summary: Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. SHIFT: The person hired into this position will work three 12-hour shifts per week from 7a - 7p for a total of 36 hours per week, to include some weekends. This position will also require two call shifts in a six-week scheduling period Join the brand-new Acute Surgical Care unit coming to 10N, a 31-bed stepdown unit offering a unique opportunity to help build a new team from the ground up. Nurses will provide a stepdown level of care to adult patients either awaiting surgery or recovering post-operatively. The unit features a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere. Please note this is inpatient/bedside position. Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California , is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center.
