The Neurovascular Unit (NVU) is a 40-bed medical-surgical unit where patients receive specialized care for a variety of neurological diagnoses, including stroke, epilepsy, post-operative orthopedic spinal surgeries, and other neurological disorders. Five beds on the unit are dedicated to neuro-monitoring, providing observation and evaluation for patients experiencing seizure-like events. While the majority of patients are adults, the specialized neuro-monitoring program also provides occasional opportunities to care for pediatric patients.
