Coordinates all activities related to nursing functions and patient care, within budgetary constraints. Adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities: Clinical Oversight Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities. Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters. Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures. Staff Development Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff. Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff. Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses Other duties as assigned Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Nurse Supervisor will have the following background and experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Minimum 5 year actively practicing as a registered nurse., including at least 3 years in oncology. 1 year of leadership experience preferred. Current CPR certification required. Current or pending oncology certification preferred. Working Conditions: Traditional office environment. Maintains timely and accurate documentation, ensures care plans reflect current patient status, and communicates effectively with the care team to coordinate optimal use of resources, especially in complex or high-risk situations. Provides education and emotional support to patients and caregivers based on individual needs, and actively participates in on-call rotations, admissions, and care transitions as directed.
