About this Job: Unit Details The Neonatal ICU at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, a five-time designated Magnet® hospital, is a 36-bed unit which provides expert nursing care for infants with many critical diagnoses. The cutting-edge Verstandig Pavilion is equipped with all-private inpatient rooms and state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensuring an environment that prioritizes excellence in patient care. The Transplant IMC shares a floor with its own Surgical Transplant Intensive Care Unit (ICU), promoting seamless patient throughput between different acuities. Clinical Nurses on S42 provide expert care to acutely ill adults that are waiting for or have recently received a solid organ transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine) or have undergone other hepatobiliary surgeries (TACE, liver resection, Whipple). About this Job: General Summary of Position The incumbent in this position functions as a consultant practitioner and educator for patients, staff and physicians concerning problems with inpatients or outpatients with ostomies fistulas/draining wounds pressure wounds and incontinence care.
