Med Surg RN Position Summary The Med Surg RN provides general nursing care for patients with illnesses such as sepsis, COPD, renal failure, pneumonia and congestive heart failure. 5 East nurses are also the peritoneal dialysis experts of TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. The Med Surg RN is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The Med Surg RN acts as a patient advocate. The RN provides support, information and direct care and utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures.
