Exhibits critical thinking and problem solving skills. Performs complete, accurate documentation (PIs, data collection, admission assessments, POC, etc.) in accordance with policies and procedures. Identifies individualized patient/significant other’s learning needs and implements appropriate measures to address identified knowledge deficits. Demonstrates knowledge, respect, and sensitivity concerning patients’ rights. Serves as a patient advocate. Assures confidentiality of patient information. Maintains effective communication with all staff, physicians, patients, families and other departments. Participates in the development of standards and unit performance improvement activities. Position will work at both the Andrus and Dobbs Ferry Pavilions. Qualifications Bachelor in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Must possess current BLS Certification ACLS and PALS certification. Current Medical Surgical and Emergency Department experience preferred.
