Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the unit, the Clinical Coordinator, RN provides oversight during the assigned shift for the clinical and non-clinical staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing orientation, teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of personnel assigned to the area. The Clinical Coordinator, RN supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff in pursuant to the objectives of the hospital. May also act as Nursing/House Supervisor while on duty at Wharton campus. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: One year clinical experience in specialty required. One year experience as a Clinical Coordinator / Charge Nurse preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. American Heart Association BLS required. Advance Cardiac Life Support, PALS or ENPC within 6 months of employment. Responsibilities The MDS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the minimum data set and all required resident assessment instruments per state and federal regulations. The MDS Coordinator provides direction to licensed nurses, non-professional nursing personnel and ancillary departments to ensure all staff are aware of, and competent in, their roles under the Prospective Payment System; and PDPM System. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse provides direction to professional and non-professional clinical personnel in providing direct patient care. The Registered Nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services assisting all patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. How you make a difference The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for managing and supervising the nursing staff and operations of the facility to ensure that patients receive appropriate healthcare services. They work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing (DON) and other members of the healthcare team to oversee and implement nursing policies and procedures. The ADON also ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff. Key Responsibilities Supervises nursing staff, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action. Evaluates patient care quality and implements improvement initiatives, collaborating with Nurse Managers and DON. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organization policies and procedures. Participates in policy and procedure development and hospital-wide employee orientations. Provides professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages. Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Master’s degree preferred Experience Three (3) years’ experience in psychiatric inpatient setting with an additional two (2) years of supervisory experience. Two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities. Regulatory agency knowledge including The Joint Commission, DHSS, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services is preferred. Licenses/Certifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
