Department Neo-Natal ICU Job Summary *Join our Dynamic Nursing Team* For more than 30 years, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Sarasota Campus has cared for critically ill newborns and the smallest premature babies. The only Level III intensive care nursery in the area, our NICU is equipped with the latest technology and multi-disciplinary specialists to provide advanced life support and around-the-clock specialty care and monitoring. Job Details: This is a full time opportunity for experienced NICU Registered Nurses with minimally two years of NICU experience. Unit shift hours are 6:00 PM- 6:30 AM. Weekends, holidays and mandatory on call shifts are required. NRP certification within 90 days of employment required. Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Salary Details: Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as an RN, education level, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $34.10, max of salary range is $52.80. In addition to hourly rate, if candidate holds an approved certification position qualifies for certification pay of $1.50. Required Qualifications - Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. - Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045). - Require Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire in accordance with the NRP curriculum of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association. - Require any neonatal certification obtained during employment will be maintained during the remainder of employment.
