BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for assessing needs, planning, evaluating and implementing orientation and education programs for nursing units, including input into new employee orientation, and assistance with nurse residency program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops annual outcomes- focused educational strategic plan with input from nurse manager/nursing director and clinical education coordinator, based on organizational and unit specific needs: Implements plan and activities using principles of quality, project and systems management. Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals: professional, unit, department, according to organizational strategic plan. Assures all necessary education is available and documented. We provide continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), renal dialysis and body cooling for neonates among many other therapies to provide the highest level of neonatal care to infants and their families. We are hiring experienced NICU nurses, but if you are a nurse with adult or pediatric inpatient experience looking to transition to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), our "New To NICU" program within the Anschutz Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will support you in your journey.
