The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians, / Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in the patients clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The Registered Nurse is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist, directs and guides and other personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Out Patient Department. Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate. Qualifications Education and Work Experience Current and valid state RN License. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current. PALS 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred. Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
