Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients, and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care safely and competently. Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and in collaboration with support staff. Informs patient and family of hospital procedures and shares care plan during the time of care and at the time of discharge. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Fosters a growth mindset through seeking mentorship, remaining open to coaching and feedback, and maintaining professional certification(s)/licensure in order to perpetually develop and uphold the skills required for proficiency within the nursing profession. Develops a professional career plan and establishes personal, performance goals in alignment with enterprise-wide metrics, frequently measuring progress with department leadership. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Experience: 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse. License/Certification/Registration: Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact Registered Nurse (eNLC)). A labor and delivery nurse cares for the mom and baby before, during and after delivery. Patients in labor and delivery can be managed for high blood pressure, preterm labor and other conditions requiring hospitalization prior to delivery. Nurses with our NICU will be responsible for assessing and managing neonatal patients needing high level of NICU care including but not limited to respiratory support. fluid resuscitation, stabilizing for transfer to tertiary center, neonatal abstinence management, phototherapy, awaiting genetic testing and feeding therapy. The nurse will provide education to the parents about the care of their newborn. Nurses in the pediatric unit will be responsible for assessing patients that are newborns to age 18 who may require surgery, respiratory support, infections, transfusions. The nurse will assist with minor procedures and administer medications. She will provide education to the family members. Summary GENERAL SUMMARY Psychiatric Resource Pool (RP) staff RNs are part of a team of caregivers who provide staffing support to a variety of Psychiatric and General Care units. Assigned units will be within the Psychiatric RP staff RN’s skill level. All Psychiatric RP staff RNs are supported by the unit leadership and reports to the Resource Pool Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care. Plans, provides, and monitors individualized psychiatric and medical nursing care following established policies, procedures, and regulations. Communicates and collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all other duties as assigned.
