Overview RN Gynecologic Oncology Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at their main clinical location. This clinical RN plays a vital role in supporting patient care within the outpatient oncology setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs in person, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, administering treatments, and providing education and support to patients and their families. The RN will document all aspects of care in the electronic medical record and ensure timely coordination of services. Assess surgical sites for healing, infection, or other concerns and document findings accurately. Provide clear post‑op education, discharge instructions, and follow‑up coordination. Collaborates with providers if the patient can be seen in an outpatient clinic setting for their symptoms. Documents all conversations with patients to maintain a comprehensive medical record. Provides clear instructions and education to the patients via the telephone and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing. 3-5 years nursing experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Must maintain continuing education requirements.
