Responsibilities Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) -Part-Time 3:00pm-11:30pm with rotating weekends The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119 bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs which span the entire continuum of care. The beautiful 52-acre rural campus is located minutes outside of State College in Central PA. The Meadows provides comprehensive care to children through adults. LPN Role/Responsibilities: The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON. Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our CNAs give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comforts needs. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss professional opportunities at our facility. Job Responsibilities / Duties: Promotes resident hygiene and comfort. Distributes food/water and feeds residents. Assists with repositioning and transferring residents. Ambulates and transports residents. Records and totals fluid intake and output. Weighs residents. Documents on flow sheets. Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care. Responds to call lights in a timely manner. Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care. Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. Takes and records vital signs. Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order. Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge . Skill / Experience Requirements . Current NYS CNA Certification Required. Previous Long Term Care experience a plus.
