Department/Unit: ICU-Surgical And Neuroscience - B2 Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $88,192.00 - $136,697.60 This is not a new graduate position. Applicants must have 3+ years of med/surg, intermediate care or ICU experience. The Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Units (SICU and Neuro ICU) have a combined total of 30 intensive care beds designed to provide specialized care to the critically ill adult (14 and older) patient. The unit has a usual 50/50 split of patient population between the neuro and surgical patient population. The focus of care is includes patients with life-threatening conditions related to major elective and emergency surgical procedures, multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, seizure, sepsis/multi-organ system failure, hemodynamic instability and failure to wean. The SICU and Neuro ICU patient needs encompass but are not limited to comprehensive physical assessments, intensive monitoring, treatment of laboratory values, ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring. SICU-Neuro ICU nurses require or will develop the following skill set – ICP monitoring via EVD or bolt, spinal drains/catheters, brain oxygen monitoring, Artic Sun therapy, continuous EEG, intra-arterial catheter, non-invasive cardiac output, mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy, reconstructive flap monitoring, and massive blood transfusion among others. Nursing will support the following on-unit procedures including placement of arterial lines, central lines, external ventricular drains and ICP monitors, SEPS drains, bedside bronchoscopy, abdominal washouts, tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, pigtail drains and others. Job Description: • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations. • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions. • Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. • Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions. • Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. • Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered. • Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients. • Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing. Qualifications: • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred • Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license • Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) • Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care • Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills • Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement. Job Description UCSF nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice providers (APPs) who possess the education, national board certification, California licensure, knowledge, clinical skills, and experience necessary to provide evidence-based patient care in their area of clinical practice. They provide routine, acute, critical, and specialty care as defined by their granted privileges/standardized procedures. Licensed Practical Nurse

Overview NaphCare is hiring LPNs and LVNs to join our team of medical professionals in Childersburg, AL, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Childersburg Community Work Center. Full Time and Part Time positions may be available! As a Correctional Nurse , you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. Responsibilities As an LPN , you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to: Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas Administering medication, including injections of medications and monitoring reaction to meds Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record, TechCare Observing patient health and mental health status Providing emergency first aid Providing patient education and discharge/release planning Qualifications Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred) Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
