Overview Provides high quality comprehensive nursing care to meet the needs of the patient/client and manages/coordinates the delivery of cost effective multidisciplinary health care services for a caseload of patients/clients consistent with VNS Health philosophy, policy, goals and objectives, and Standards of Nursing Practice. For Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) only: Provides health education, social support and community linkages to meet the needs of pregnant and postpartum, first-time mothers and their infants. Also responsible for adhering to NFP national guidelines. • Assesses the physical, social and psychological needs and environmental conditions of the patient/client through professional knowledge, skills of observation, interviewing, and physical examination to develop a plan of care. • Understands, interprets, and implements reimbursement protocols; determines the billing source for patient/client care. Job Description Registered Nurse (RN), Night Shift, Trauma Surgical Department UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the trauma surgical department for the Night Shift, 7PM-730AM at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This unit consists of patient populations from many specialized surgical teams. Our patient population is admitted from the ER, SICU and PACU. Nursing care for the Trauma patient is concentrated around recovering from traumatic injury with focus on mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs and pain management. Our surgical specialties include ENT and urology who are consistently nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report. Trauma: UCMC is the area's only Adult Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. Our patients arrive from injuries sustained by motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds and unforeseen accidents.
