Job Details Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position with Trauma Services at Hillcrest Hospital. This APP will need to be able to see Adult and Pediatric patients. NP's require Acute Care. It is preferred to have Acute Care AND Family NP certification or Acute Care AND Adult Gero and Pediatric certification. This is an exciting opportunity to manage injured patients of all ages at a Level 2 Trauma Center. This is a fast-paced, top of license position. Settings will include inpatient, ED, Nursing floor, critical care services and OR. Some typical duties will include: Rounding on ICU/RNF, reporting to trauma activations in the ED, advanced procedures (i.e. central and arterial lines, chest tube placement, intubation, wound repair), and OR assisting. The ideal candidate would have a background in trauma, surgery services and/or emergency medicine. ACLS/BLS certification is mandatory. ATLS certification is mandatory. PALS certification preferred. The hours for this position will include rotating through day shifts (range from 10 to 16-hour day shifts), periodic night shifts, and periodic weekends. This position does require working holiday shifts on a rotational basis (typically one summer and one winter). Experience is preferred for this position, however, new graduates with prior relevant experience will be considered. Responsibilities: Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. Works in collaboration with the health care team. Job Description UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital is recognized throughout the world as a leader in health care, known for innovation, technology and compassionate care. Our 183-bed UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital has more than 150 specialists in more than 40 areas of medicine. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital provides extraordinary high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. The unit has 20 beds for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. More than 1,000 children per year are admitted into the intensive care units at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital arriving via ambulance, helicopter and airplane from throughout the western United States. The Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP) is a 18-bed unit for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. The TCU provides care to patients with a moderate to high complexity of disease such as those recovering from solid organ transplantation, titration of anticoagulant therapy and other infusion, and post-operative specialty surgery care (ENT, neurosurgery). Patients requiring respiratory support including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula and patients requiring mechanical ventilation with tracheostomy in place are also routinely admitted to the TCUP. The Nurse Practitioner will act as a full member of the team taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows and residents. This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated. Nurse Practitioners on the PICU and TCUP Team provide care in rotating 12h shifts. Responsibilities Function % of time Duties Inpatient - Direct Patient Care (may include some or all of the responsibilities listed) 70 Independently (independent APP encounter) or collaboratively (shared physician and APP encounter) evaluates and manages patients. Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group, seeks outstanding NNPs to join our growing practice. Our established neonatal practice includes over 50 neonatologists and over 100 APRNs and serves 15 hospitals across four leading hospital systems throughout Houston and the surrounding area. We welcome new graduates and provide a comprehensive new graduate orientation program. NNPs in our practice typically provide 24-hour in-house coverage. However, some of our sites offer 12-72 hour shifts to support work-life balance.
