Aids the unit clerk, receiving and transmitting messages (personal, telephone, computer) or inquiries to the appropriate destination. 2. Performs other general administrative duties as required (e.g., emails, filing, ordering supplies, etc.). 3. Performs stocking of patient rooms and specialty carts or areas on a routine basis. 4. Ensures that patient daily hygiene needs are met (i.e., bathing, brushing teeth, changing of bed linen, etc.) that are appropriate under their scope of practice and under the direct supervision of the bedside nurse or CNA. 5. Demonstrates ability to handle patients safely under direct supervision of a nurse and utilizes proper body mechanics and techniques 6. Assists with distribution and clearing of dietary trays. 7. Transports appropriate patients and other appropriate items as needed. 8. Notifies appropriate licensed personnel with patient complaints of needs/pain. 9. Demonstrates ability to communicate basic needs/information to co-workers, patients, and other individuals. 10. Performs duties of 1:1 sitter for patient safety under policies and scope of practice.
