Student CNA Training Program

** Next Class Starts May 2026** Thank you for your interest in taking the state certified nurse aide training program. Our program is a fast-paced class that is completed in 16 days. To be considered for the class, you must provide the following at the time of your interview: Completed Application Valid Photo Identification Social Security Card Since the class is only 16 days, no absences or tardiness is permitted. You must maintain a grade average of an 80 to continue in the course. Books and Supplies will be provided for you. You will be required to purchase one set of scrubs to wear every day to class and clinical. We will run a criminal background check as well as consult the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. No one with a felony conviction, certain misdemeanor charges, and/or found on the abuse registry can be admitted to the class. If you have been accepted into the class, you will be notified by email and/or phone. Students are chosen based on the facility need, shift availability of the candidate, entrance exam score, flexibility of the candidate, previous work history and attitude. The best qualified candidates for the class will be chosen.

The Citadel of Glenview is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team! The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) helps patients/residents with comprehensive and personalized health care needs under the supervision of a nurse. The CNA assists patients/residents with activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting and exercising. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or CNA Supervisor, the CNAs work closely with the nursing staff to ensure coordination of patient care. Provides physical support for patients/resident’s daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising. Assists patients with daily medication and supplements. Ensures proper resident/patient diet based on their dietary restrictions. Examines patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine. Notes and communicates patient/resident behavior and changes in mood. Cleans rooms and bed linens. Checks and records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Answers to patient calls and needs. All other duties, as assigned. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications and Skills: Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff. Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. State Certified Nursing Assistant License/Certification. Must be CPR Certified. Physical Requirements: Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations. Meet all health requirements as needed.
