The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will work with the interprofessional healthcare team to deliver high-quality anesthesia within a Care Team Model. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Provides anesthesiology services within the Hospital, including pre-operative review of patients and provision of anesthetics in all procedural areas (including operative rooms, interventional radiology, endoscopy units, and Labor and Delivery) in a care team model. Selects, orders, and administers anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids or blood products. Manages patients’ airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation and extubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, and respiratory therapy. Selects, prepares, or uses equipment, monitors, supplies, or drugs for the administration of anesthetics. Performs pre-anesthetic screenings including physical evaluations and patient interviews, and documents results. Monitors patients’ responses including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation, or urine output using invasive and noninvasive techniques. Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques. Performs or manages regional anesthetic techniques such as local, spinal, epidural, caudal, nerve blocks and intravenous blocks. Once they have established proficiency. Collaborates with the attending physician anesthesiologist Develops anesthesia care plans. Obtains informed consent from patients for anesthesia procedures Assesses patients’ medical histories to predict anesthesia response. Performs and evaluates the results of diagnostic tests such as radiographs (x-rays) and electrocardiograms (EKGs) Evaluates patients’ post-surgical or post-anesthesia responses, taking appropriate corrective actions or requesting consultation if complications occur. Administers post-anesthesia medications or fluids to support patients’ cardiovascular systems. Discharges patients from post-anesthesia care. Seeking valued, independent full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our Anesthesia team. 1099 Independent contractor status. CRNA's will practice at the top of their license and have the opportunity to practice independently. New grads and experienced CRNA’s welcome. Current WI state license a plus. ACLS and PALS required. $330k annual pay. Providers may support affiliated ambulatory locations. The Practice Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital – Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin Level III Trauma Center and Stroke Center. 150-bed facility and a 30-bed Emergency Department. Annual surgical volume of 7,200. 17 operating rooms, 1 ASC, and 1 OP GI Center. Other areas of coverage include 3 cath labs, 2 C-Sections OR’s, and 7 GI/Endoscopy rooms. Case mix includes General surgery, Gyn, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ortho, IR, EP, Cardiac, GI endoscopies, and Ophthalmology. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: ​ The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist completes preoperative patient assessments and prepares and maintains necessary tools and resources for procedures. Responsible for evaluation of anesthetic agents used for patients before, during, and after procedures. Actively observe and assess patients throughout the course of procedures and ensures safe patient emergence from anesthetic. Performs supplemental anesthesia duties in situations as needed and directed by anesthesiologist.
